My Portfolio

Welcome to my portfolio. Here you’ll learn more about what I do and about my experiences.

Hi. I am Tessza.

Tessza Badric, pszichológiai tanácsadó

About Me.

I am a psychologist and counsellor with a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, and currently in training to become a certified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) teacher.

I’ve had the opportunity to study and work in my field in the Netherlands and Germany for the past 6 years before coming home again. Throughout my life abroad, I developed a passion for better understanding mental health struggles and for getting to know the best tools that can ease them. Now based in Hungary and Croatia, I offer online counselling services to individuals all around the world with a Cognitive-Behavioural perspective, and 8-week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) courses. I currently work in English, Croatian, and Hungarian.

In both my work and private life, I am driven by curiosity and eagerness to learn. I like to believe that I strive for giving honest feedback and genuine connection and I want my clients to try to do the same in order to do the best possible work together.

You can find out about the struggles I can help you with and more about my approach here.

And a little bit about my principles in our work together here.

Philosophy

My philosophy is rooted in the belief that the more individualised my approach to a client is, the more the sessions and the results will resonate with my clients. That process is endless. For that, I am striving for constant curiosity, learning, understanding and collaboration.

Here are some of the core principles of my approach.

Acceptance

Acceptance is key to Change.

We continuously try to change our behaviour, thoughts, feelings without acknowledging and accepting what is there first. I find it crucial to transform annoyance to curiosity and kindness.

Non-linearity

Development is Non-linear.

It is difficult to accept making the same mistakes again after we've seen development. However, getting better is not about never going back to old patterns, but about choosing to repeatedly and more quickly getting back on track.

Play

Try Out Different Approaches.

Maybe you haven't had the chance to experiment with what keeps you connected to yourself as a child. Finding what fits you requires flexibility. Try it out. Play with it.

Repetition

Change Comes through Practice.

Change can be exciting at first but after a while, it is commitment to repetition. It is sometimes even boring. However, if you make the commitment, I will do my best to help you stay on track.
